Amanda Wagman

Dental Hygiene Practitioner

Hi Fort St. John! I’m delighted to be here and look forward to meeting you!

I first completed the Dental Administration program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, followed by the Certified Dental Assisting program at the College of New Caledonian, before earning my Bachelor of Dental Science degree from The University of British Columbia.

My career has allowed me to work in many communities across Alberta and British Columbia, including Spirit River, Grande Prairie, Calgary, Vancouver, and Abbotsford. After working in Prince Rupert, I relocated to Fort St. John, where I’m grateful to now call home. During my dental hygiene education, I was honoured to receive the top clinical award in my graduating class for excellence in clinical performance. I’m passionate about ongoing learning and regularly participate in continuing education courses to stay current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene. I also serve the profession as a member of the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals Discipline Committee.

I’m often described as warm and gentle, and I strive to create meaningful connections with my patients. My approachable, down-to-earth nature helps foster a comfortable and reassuring environment. I believe each appointment is more than just a cleaning—it’s an opportunity to support my patients’ overall health and wellbeing, while ensuring they feel informed, respected, and cared for.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my beloved pup, Chloe. Staying active is important to me, whether that’s biking, yoga, or regular exercise. Practices like breath work, tapping, and meditation help me cultivate peace and clarity. Creativity is another passion of mine, and I enjoy earring making and the art of floral design.
